ManheimFowles winner of Overall Award for Excellence in water conservation

MANHEIMFOWLES has been awarded the ‘Overall Award for Excellence’ in the 2009 savewater! awards for its achievements in water conservation.

ManheimFowles, an Australian automotive auctioneer, says it decreased its use of mains water supply at its Melbourne facility by 73% over a two year period.

According to ManheimFowles, it has installed a water recycling unit and rain water tanks with a 455,000L storage capacity. The company’s site now operates on 100% harvested recycled water.

ManheimFowles also won the ‘Large Business Award’.

The 2009 savewater! awards had over 700 entries from Australia, UK, USA, Africa, Canada and New Zealand.

The savewater! awards are the leading water sustainability awards in Australia and have provided a platform for recognising excellence across the industry.
